Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 17 July 2026
Social Covered Ltd ("Social Covered", "we", "our" or "us") is committed to creating digital services that are accessible, inclusive and usable by as many people as possible. We continually work to improve the accessibility of our website, SC Hub and associated services so that customers can access our platform regardless of ability, technology or assistive tools.
1. Our Commitment
We are committed to making our website and platform accessible in accordance with the following principles and standards:
- WCAG Principles: We design and develop our website and platform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our primary accessibility benchmark and continually review new guidance as standards evolve.
- UK Accessibility Regulations: Although the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 primarily apply to public sector organisations, we use recognised accessibility standards and best practices to guide the development of our digital services.
- Equality Act 2010: We are committed to ensuring our digital services do not discriminate against users with disabilities.
2. Keyboard Navigation
Our website and SC Hub portal are designed to be fully navigable using a keyboard alone. Users who cannot or prefer not to use a mouse can:
- Navigate through interactive elements using the Tab key.
- Activate links and buttons using the Enter or Space key.
- Move backward through elements using Shift + Tab.
- Access all major content areas and features without requiring a pointing device.
We ensure that all interactive elements have visible focus indicators so keyboard users can always see which element is currently focused. We aim to minimise keyboard traps and maintain a logical navigation order throughout the platform.
3. Screen Reader Compatibility
We design our website and platform to be compatible with major screen reading software, including:
- NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access)
- JAWS (Job Access With Speech)
- VoiceOver (macOS and iOS)
- TalkBack (Android)
We achieve this by:
- Using semantic HTML that correctly conveys the structure and meaning of content to assistive technologies.
- Providing descriptive alternative text for meaningful images and icons.
- Using appropriate ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes where needed to enhance screen reader experience.
- Ensuring form fields have associated labels and instructions.
- Structuring headings hierarchically (H1, H2, H3) to allow screen reader users to navigate content by heading.
Compatibility may vary depending on browser, operating system and assistive technology versions.
4. Colour and Contrast
We design our interface with sufficient colour contrast ratios to ensure readability for users with visual impairments. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA contrast requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text). Where charts, status indicators or other visual cues are used, we aim to provide alternative labels, icons or descriptive text so that important information is not conveyed by colour alone.
5. Responsive and Mobile Accessibility
Our website and SC Hub portal are fully responsive, meaning they adapt to varying screen sizes, zoom levels, browser scaling and orientation changes across desktop computers, tablets, and mobile phones. This ensures that users can access our services regardless of the device they use. We test across major browsers and devices to maintain consistent accessibility.
6. Ongoing Improvements
Accessibility is an ongoing process. We are committed to:
- Regularly reviewing our website and platform for accessibility issues.
- Conducting periodic accessibility audits and user testing.
- Prioritising accessibility in all new features and design updates.
- Responding to user feedback regarding accessibility barriers.
- Considering accessibility throughout product design, development, testing and future platform enhancements.
7. Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, we acknowledge that some areas of the platform may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This may include:
- Third-party embedded content (e.g. social media widgets) that we do not fully control.
- Older content that has not yet been reviewed against current accessibility standards.
- Interactive elements in development that may have temporary accessibility limitations.
- Some third-party integrations may not fully conform to our accessibility objectives because they are controlled by external providers.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please let us know and we will prioritise addressing it.
8. Accessibility by Design
Accessibility is considered throughout the lifecycle of our products. New features, design changes and platform improvements are reviewed with accessibility in mind wherever reasonably practicable to help ensure that inclusive design remains part of the ongoing development process.
9. Assistive Technology Feedback
We welcome feedback from customers who use assistive technologies. Real-world experience helps us identify opportunities to improve accessibility beyond automated testing and recognised standards.
10. Reporting Accessibility Issues
If you experience any difficulty accessing our website or SC Hub, or if you have suggestions for improving accessibility, please contact us:

We aim to acknowledge accessibility enquiries promptly and work with users to identify practical solutions while any underlying issues are investigated.
11. Formal Complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility issue, you may raise a formal complaint. External complaint routes depend on your jurisdiction and applicable legislation. In the UK, you can also contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) or the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your rights under equality or accessibility legislation have been breached.
